1. Program Overview

The bachelor’s program in Telecoms and Networking is designed to provide students with a firmly-grounded, practical, and multidisciplinary training with effective learning resources. Students will be trained to take exams in various international certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CCNDA, CCNA Security, and CCNA Service Provider. The program also equips students with workforce readiness skills and builds a foundation for success in telecoms-and-networking-related careers for local and international job markets. In each term, students will learn both practical skills including technology concepts, and soft skills such as communication and problem-solving with the support of interactive media to apply and practice this knowledge through a series of hands-on and simulated activities that reinforce their learning.

2. Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, the students will be able to:

  • Describe electronic devices, circuits, equipment, and systems.
  • Interpret mathematical problems in the Telecommunication Technologies and Service Engineering area.
  • Classify telecommunication standards and regulations in Cambodia
  • Apply programming languages into simulated and remote network systems, distributed services, and applications.
  • Design computer network and transmission systems.
  • Diagram the computer network system and information in a robust, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage telecoms and computer network projects, and work readiness skills.

The bachelor program in cybersecurity are established for specialization and application of  practical technology studies. This is based on the industry’s need to have a balance of applied skills and disciplines in both technical domains of research and practical knowledge in the workplace. Moreover, we will integrate the international certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security, Information Systems Auditor, Information Security Manager, Security, and Ethical Hacker.

2. Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, the students will be able to:

  • Understand the breadth and scope of security issues on personal, corporate, national, and global levels

  • Apply the technical strategies, tools, and techniques to secure data and information for a client or customer.

  • Research in both established venues and innovative applications to expand the body of knowledge in cybersecurity.

  • Apply critical thinking to creatively and systematically solve the problems and meet the challenges of the ever-changing environments of cybersecurity.

  • Perform system hardening, vulnerability testing, and forensic investigation procedures.

  • Move into leadership roles in companies, agencies, divisions, and departments.

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage networks security, projects, and work readiness skills.
